About Accidental Beauty Photography

I am a child, family, pets, couple and wedding photographer. Photography is a passion for me, I cannot ever imagine not capturing pieces of the world with my camera. More than anything I love bringing out personalities and making them memories.

Autumn Pilot

Yes, another picture of Pilot. He’s been so extra cuddly lately. When I come home he jumps in my lap and takes a nap. He’s been sleeping most nights at the foot of the bed with my husband and I. Last night he just cried and cried (which you know is like the saddest sound ever) because he wanted to go outside and play but it was dark. Anyone who thinks a cat doesn’t have a personality hasn’t met my cats.

I have been trying to figure out the best way to showcase my photography on my blog in a portfolio fashion and so far this is the best I can do other than starting from scratch, which would take forever. I also decided to make an albumn of the “Popular” photography. Either the stuff that has been most popular or that I’ve loved a lot or the most noteable.

Anyway, have a nice Halloween. I’m hoping to see some scary movies.

Cats definitely have individual personalities! I can see a bit of Pilot’s in your photos — which means you’ve done a very good job. I have such trouble getting mine to sit still or cooperate at all with the camera, but yesterday on a walk in the woods around the house, Leo followed me and then posed in a sunbeam on top of the woodpile. I was so happy to get good shots of him :)

And yes, a kitty’s cries seem designed to break your heart. My honey read an article recently that suggested cats know this and use it to “manipulate” us… I did wonder, how would the researchers know??

I read that article, too! About how cats’ cries sound similar to human babies’ and the kitties manipulate us into giving them what they want: food, letting them out, etc.

He seems concentrated on something. Lovely colors on the leaves.

He’s such a cutie! We have a black and white “Tuxedo” cat, too. Her name is Jordan. She cries every morning, sometime between 4 and 6am. It would seem that she just wants someone awake to pay attention to her… lol

    Beautiful image!

Cats have LOTS of personality and Cattitude! I have had several over the years and all of them very individual characters, mostly very vocal Siamese cats who are pretty candid with their feelings. The cat I have now, Siamese, is such a sweetheart and has been really cute, playful, and very cuddly of late as well. She is getting up there in age but still acts very youthful and is very playful.

Pilot is a very pretty cat and looks quite happy among the fallen leaves. Lots to play with there.

@Meredith, they manipulate us? No! *sarcasm*

  • http://accidentalbeauty.net Robin

@Barb, now if only I can find a way to manipulate them.

@Frida, he takes it all VERY seriously =)

@mary, that’s usually what it is.

@Laurie, so much personality, it’s tough to capture it all in a picture, it’s about engaging with them in person.

    @Robin, you can — treats.

What a great cat. I can tell by the way it’s walking confidently through the leaves. A terrific capture, Robin.
