About Accidental Beauty Photography

I am a child, family, pets, couple and wedding photographer. Photography is a passion for me, I cannot ever imagine not capturing pieces of the world with my camera. More than anything I love bringing out personalities and making them memories.

This would be my sister-in-law and while I always knew she was beautiful I couldn’t believe how she came alive through the lens.

My friend Karen was a joy to photograph. Her look is so soft but intense at the same time sometimes. I love the tones of her skin and all her freckles. She was natural in front of the camera, like she’d done this a million times before.

From this week’s Diptych the color is green. Shannon’s picture is on the left and my picture is on the right.

Top Shots

Here is a little bit from the Portrait Party on Saturday. These are probably my favorite from each girl but then again there are some that I really loved that I don’t feel I can post on this site. I’ve gone from 1000 shots to 700 shots and am now down to 500 shots. At this point, with the editing down, it’s when it gets really hard.

The photo shoot was a success! Did everything go perfect? No, but that’s not something I ever expect. Last minute I had to rent a lighting kit and go out to Boston (thanks to my husband who is bringing it back for me today). I had to learn the lighting and figure out how I needed it to work for me. The plan was to start around 7pm and we didn’t start until more like 8:30. I was uneasy at first, not knowing how to direct anyone but after I got into each photo shoot I think it got easier.

Also I didn’t bring enough backup space so I was basically taking more pictures than I had room and I worried about my battery running out, but it didn’t. The shoot went until about midnight and I think I was run down or something because when I got home I had these chills.

But, despite all of that, which isn’t much anyway, it went amazing. I took about 1,000 pictures and at this point after editing I am down to about 700. I learned a lot and pictures are to come. A big thanks from me to everyone who has helped me get as far as I’ve already come.

My next photo shoot goal is to do an outside one, also I would love to shoot a family. Sorry, I can’t help but get a kick out of the word shoot ;)
