Autumn Portraits

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

So, everyone knows I dipped my toe into the world of portrait photography last winter with my Portrait Party. Well I’m planning another portrait party and if this goes well I hope to have more, such as for families, pets and boudoir.

My plan is to get a group of people together who are interested in getting portraits done for a Saturday session in October. If you are interested please leave a comment either here, on Facebook or just send me a message in one of the variety of ways.

This session will take place in my backyard, where I had my engagement pictures taken so long ago. There will be no upfront charge but you can choose prints from a gallery afterward to purchase. More information to come!

You can read more details here about my Portrait Parties.

Vintage Dipped

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

This week’s diptych theme is vintage. My friend Shannon chose a vintage ring, I love that she has a reflection with it. I went with a vintage camera I got once at an antique shop and have yet to use. Before I can actually use it I have to hunt down some film for it, it’s been a very long time since I’ve used film.

Profile Dipped

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Normally I have Shannon’s picture on the left and my picture on the right but the profiles didn’t look right facing away from each other somehow. I will assume that all Shannon had to do was catch her son in a moment or ask him to turn his head. With Aurora she just turned her head in annoyance of me again pointing the camera at her.

Hidden Dipped

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

This week’s diptych is the theme hidden. Shannon’s is on the left and mine (or myself) is on the right.

Project 365: March

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

This month had it’s challenging moments. I was trying not to take so many pictures of my cats and everything outside was just so dreary. If there is one thing this project teaches you, it’s to step out of your comfort zone.
