Thanks to updated technology and some time with friends (and their children) I am back on track. It’s a beautiful feeling to be in control of your work again. You may remember this little girl from a family session I had a couple months ago. Oh and I did not tell her to do this pose in any way, this was all her.

So I’m getting all my ducks in a row now with a new computer and will be focusing on getting the last couple shoots done. Next weekend I have another shoot. So enjoy a couple shots from last year.

Still Here

I’m in a bit of a standstill with my photography journey as my computer is getting worse everyday and I have pictures to edit. I’m going to go to Best Buy this weekend to try to figure out what kind of computer I can afford but can also take me to the next step with my photography. I have another shoot next weekend and another wedding the first weekend of September so I really need to focus on getting my ducks in a row.

Any opinions on computers are completely welcome but I know I can’t afford a Mac, not right now. Also, I am pretty set on getting a laptop.

Autumn Portraits

August 12th, 2010

So, everyone knows I dipped my toe into the world of portrait photography last winter with my Portrait Party. Well I’m planning another portrait party and if this goes well I hope to have more, such as for families, pets and boudoir.

My plan is to get a group of people together who are interested in getting portraits done for a Saturday session in October. If you are interested please leave a comment either here, on Facebook or just send me a message in one of the variety of ways.

This session will take place in my backyard, where I had my engagement pictures taken so long ago. There will be no upfront charge but you can choose prints from a gallery afterward to purchase. More information to come!

You can read more details here about my Portrait Parties.

How To Get Sunglasses on Aurora

August 6th, 2010

Do like Aurora and stay cool this weekend!

ps. There is a trick to doing this with Aurora:

1. Wait until she’s fast asleep.

2. Have one person sneak up on her to put the glasses on (my husband) and one person with the camera ready (moi).

3. The moment the glasses go on her, take the picture.

4. Then run away before she reacts.

Voila!
