Can you guess what color this week is? Shannon’s shot is of the socks on the left and my shot is of this fish, that my husband designed. You can see a lot of his work here. In retrospect I probably should have dusted off the fish first.

Also, I have designed a new Portfolio section for my site, let me know honestly what you think. There are several sections in the dropdown menu.

Starting so far all of my projects are on schedule.

1. Portrait Party – I don’t think I’ve gone into this one yet, I will.

2. Project 365 – Take a picture everyday for an entire year.

3. Diptych Project – Myself and another person will take a picture using a chosen theme every week and pair them together.

Shannon came to me with this project and that she wanted to do it with me, I was flattered. Her first thought of someone to pair her photos with was me =) I’ve actually wanted to do a project like this for a long time and it just hadn’t formed into anything.

I’ve been doing diptyches from time to time over the past year or so, I don’t know what it is about pairing two different photos that compliment each other together. It’s like I create something by taking a photo, then they create something and then together we create something else. It’s like we’re having a baby together, a photo baby. Awwww.

So every Wednesday we’ll have a theme and on each of our sites we’ll post the diptych. This week was orange. Shannon chose the creative shot while I went with the obvious fruit. I think it’s pretty cool though that they go so well together unlike say an orange and a traffic cone.
