I really wanted to get a shot of a water lily at my lake but I think I was too late, most of them are gone but also my lens doesn’t shoot far enough away for the kind of shot I want. I did find this lily though, drowing but beautiful still.

Waning Summer

I can feel summer slipping away, I know the flowers can feel it even more. I wake up and it’s dark now, wasn’t it just last week that I finally got light back to my mornings? I can feel a brisk chill early in the morning that I swear showed up overnight. I’m not as sad as I thought I might be but I do hope fall lasts as long as humanly possible.
